It had been a long time since I'd gone shopping anywhere other than thrift shops and old navy. Times had been hard for while and I work at home, so I told myself - why spend the money? But my husband kept urging me to take care of myself ( I was always complaining I had nothing to wear) and finally he called Yanez and made a date for her to take me shopping! Yes, he's a great guy ...who probably couldn’t take my whining any more.The day came to shop and I have to be honest, I was nervous. Here I was, a 60+ grandmother, feeling dumpy, about to head out clothes shopping with this beautiful model! But I sucked it up and headed out. The experience was nothing short of transformative. Yanez met me at the agreed upon store and was relentless at finding hidden gems in all the different categories. She consulted with me, listened to what I liked, got what felt authentic to me and was so fun and comfortable to be with I found myself actually enjoying shopping - and I hate clothes shopping! She pushed me into trying things I'd never have thought to wear and in lots of different textures and colors that suited me perfectly, she was so comforting and complimentary - like a sister with a great eye for fashion ...on Me! In the fitting room I totally forgot to be nervous because I was so excited to find things not only that fit but looked wonderful on. I ended up with an entirely new wardrobe and spent less than my budget to boot! The most impactful part of the experience though has been after the shopping - because now when I go out, not only do I have choices of things to wear but I feel like I have presence and pride in myself. People take notice and are so complimentary. And it's not just that these are nice or new clothes but that they reflect my personality in a relevant way- as a designer and artist that is key. Yanez even met with me at a clothing store to help me identify different looks and coach me through transitioning from simple and basic to a classier and sophisticated image. I am so grateful for this experience. It has really changed my life. I am more confident and comfortable taking risk when I shop. I no longer feel overwhelmed about what I am going to wear and I actually like creating outfits now. I have saved so much time and money by learning how to invest in quality purchases, and most importantly, this service has contributed to my peace of mind.
